Traigh Mhor,
on the Isle of Tiree
Sleeps 7
"The house overlooking the bay" - in this case Gott Bay, the longest sandy beach (about 3 miles) on this far westerly island of the Inner Hebrides (reached by car ferry from Oban) which is famed for a sunshine record well above average and 30 miles of the most beautiful, deserted silver sand beaches with panoramic views of the neighbouring islands.
On a grassy slope just 100 yards from the beach, Traigh Mhor is an excellently equipped, extremely comfortable family house just a half-mile from a pub/hotel, 10 minutes' walk from the 9-hole golf-course (visitors welcome) and 2 miles from Scaranish (ferry/shops/bank/hotel) - the main village on the island. (see the map further down this page...)
Heating by open-fire and electricity. Bed-linen and towels available for hire. Pets welcome. We regret parties of windsurfers cannot be accepted.
