Tigh na Beithe Cottage
Killin
Perthshire
Scotland

Sleeping 4

Tigh na Beithe (the House of the Birch Tree) occupies a peaceful and delightful situation on the edge of the pretty village of Killin in the historic Breadalbane region of central Perthshire with the Lawers range behind it and lovely open views to the front. The Cottage comes with fishing rights on the Lochay. The extensive garden has a secure area which pet owners will appreciate, and a superb seating area at the top where you can relax in comfort over your evening glass of wine and take in the views. There is plenty of parking and a garage with secure storage for cycles and other equipment. In addition there is a drying room for wet clothes and muddy boots.

Loch

Inside, it has been furnished and finished to a very high standard. There is a cosy open fire in the sitting room, a well equipped open plan kitchen-dining room with patio doors to the garden, the double bedroom has an en suite bathroom with double shower, and the other bathroom is right alongside the twin bedroom. Situated at the south western end of Loch Tay, Killin has long been popular with visitors. It is divided by the picturesque Falls of Dochart, (much featured on calendars) and has a good selection of shops and eating places. Loch Tay offers a good selection of water sports, or, for a change, you can take your boat/surfer/kayak down to Loch Earn, where there are equally good facilities. Walkers will find plenty to challenge them in the surrounding hills, while serious climbers will be interested to learn that Glencoe is only 30 miles up the road. Of course, the Lawers Range, Ben More and Stobinian are even closer, within just a few miles. Killin has its own golf course and there are other courses at St Fillans and Kenmore.

Tigh na Beithe Cottage

The west coast is under two hours drive away, or, within the hour, you can be at Crianlarich and swing down to Loch Lomond. To the south, the romantic Trossachs are another favourite destination.

Bed linen, towels, starter pack of fuel for the open fire, oil central heating and electricity are all included!included. Well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement. No smoking within the property.
