The sporting Estate of Whitmuir lies between Melrose and Selkirk (all facilities, swimming pool) right in the centre of Sir Walter Scott's beloved Border Country. Although in a secluded and peaceful spot the Estate is only a few minutes drive from both these towns and from the main north-south route between Edinburgh and the English border.

Formerly a farm cottage, Knowpark stands facing a field of the same name where, for centuries, sheep have grazed with superb open views across to Rubislaw and the Cheviots. The cottage sits within its own enclosed grassy garden and has secure storage for bikes etc. Once you are settled in you may have difficulty leaving the peace and calm of this rural haven.

The cottage's American owners have modernised and furnished Knowpark with great care. (In fact, the sitting room carpet came all the way from the States!). The house is bright, cheerful and very comfortable thanks to modern central heating and an open fire in the sitting room.
