Why the name? Well, what better name for a magnificent conversion of part of the former Crabbie’s Warehouse complex in Edinburgh’s historic district of Leith.

This large and attractive apartment offers a peaceful haven in the centre of Edinburgh whether you are visiting the city for work or pleasure. The conversion forms part of a gated courtyard, very private and with an almost Mediterranean atmosphere emanating from its flower beds and fountain. Ginger Wine offers first class accommodation for up to four people.

A 25 minute walk will take you to Princes Street or a 10 minute bus ride on the No 22 which goes past the gates every 10 minutes. It is not only very convenient for the city centre but is even better placed for enjoying the attractions of this upwardly-moving sector of town. Close by, there is a fantastic choice of world class restaurants and intriguing shops which have opened along the colourful quayside. There is also the Royal Yacht Britannia and the Ocean Terminal shopping and cinema centre. Buses go in a continuous stream up and down to Princes Street, a journey lasting only a few minutes. The nearby leisure centre has a very good swimming pool with flumes and raft runs (to the delight of younger visitors) for some gentle exercise. Tesco has a Metro store also in the vicinity.

The apartment has been furbished with all the features expected in such a conversion – secure entry system, electric central heating, a spacious lounge/dining room, an up-to-date fitted kitchen, two generous bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. However, a major attraction, as regular visitors to Edinburgh will appreciate, is that the apartment has its own allocated parking space. (Some of the neighbouring streets also have unrestricted parking.)

Electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. Sorry, pets are not accepted and smoking is not permitted within the apartment. A refundable householders deposit is required.
