Gariob Beag is about 7 miles west of Lochgilphead in Argyll - an old stone threshing-barn which has been excellently converted and comfortably furnished to make a truly delightful holiday cottage which you will hate to leave at the end of your stay. Standing detached, on a hillock, in its own spacious garden (which features the now grassy mound of the old horse-gang where horses circled continuously to grind corn in the olden days), it graces an area already known for its Outstanding Natural Beauty - just 4 miles from Crinan and 6 miles from Tayvallich, with views of the outstandingly lovely West Coast countryside which borders Loch Sween.
Visitors comment on the peace and quiet at the cottage, and it is a paradise for nature-lovers who can walk, bike or drive the many small roads and paths that wind through the sometimes forested, sometimes rocky hills towering above the stunning coastline, and Scottish Natural Heritage cares for all the ruined castles, chapels, ancient crosses and standing-stones dating from pre-historic times which are a fascination for historians of all ages.
Birdwatchers will spot ospreys, even golden eagles, patrolling the skies, and enjoy the cheeky bullfinches and many other small birds who swoop on the fruit trees in the owners' nearby garden... (he never gets any fruit!)
There is horse-riding, golf, several good restaurants, and superb white sands within a 15-mile radius.
Heating by electric central-heating (£10 worth 
included), and wood-burning stove (supply of logs included). Bed-linen and towels are included. Pets by arrangement. Smoking is not allowed within the house.

- Entrance hall.
- Sitting/Dining room with wood-burning stove, TV, Video and DVD player, Payphone - a light and airy very attractive room with French-windows opening onto a patio and pretty garden (furniture/barbecue).
- Kitchen with microwave, fridge-freezer, washer/drier, etc.
- Double-bed room (wonderfully-inviting Victorian double-bed!).
- Bathroom with bath, shower, WC and basin.
