Coralan Cottage
near Tyndrum
Argyll

Sleeping 6

The 31,000 acre Auch and Invermeran Estates comprise some of the most breathtaking scenery in the west of Scotland. It centres on the magnificent glen which runs up from Tyndrum towards Rannoch Moor and Glencoe, between Ben Dorain and Beinn Chaorach.

In addition to the Lodge and Kinglass Cottage, we are now pleased to offer Coralan Cottage, a three-bedroom property which has been completely refurbished to the same high standard as the other houses. It has an excellent open plan dining kitchen, a snug sitting room with wood burner and three bedrooms upstairs, one en suite. There is parking at the door, furniture outside, and tenants have the use of the grassy garden across the yard.

Walkers will be interested to learn that the West Highland Way crosses the Estate, and, though out of sight, passes within a few hundred yards of its cottages. There is trout fishing on the river Orchy and in Loch Lyon and shooting and stalking can be arranged in season. Walkers, climbers and sportsmen will therefore find it a slice of paradise, while less energetic guests will be no less thrilled by the abundant wildlife, and the peace and freedom of such fabulous surroundings.

Setting Mountain

The cottage is reached by about half a mile of private road for the main A82 from Tyndrum to Fort William, so it is well placed for touring. Glencoe is just over 16 miles to the north west, while both Oban and Fort William are 40 miles away. From Oban you can take boat trips to Iona, Staffa, Mull and some of the other islands. From Fort William you can take the Road to the Isles, or why not take the train all the way from Tyndrum to Fort William and then the steam train to Mallaig which will enable you to actually compare these wonderful viaducts at first hand! In the other direction, it is only 17 miles to the top of Loch Lomond, with its famous golf courses, boating and sailing possibilities. The Trossachs, Loch Katrine, even Glasgow, are all within easy reach.

The nearest shops, hotels, garage etc. are at Tyndrum, with a hotel also at Bridge of Orchy.

Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are all included!included in the rental. Water is from a private spring and 15l bottled water is supplied for drinking. The cottage is on a working farm, so guests should be aware that there may occasionally be farm vehicles about and that dogs should be kept under control. Up to three well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. Sorry, no cats, and smoking is not permitted within the Cottage.
