Ardnahein Farmhouse,
Near Lochgoilhead,
Argyll
Sleeps 4 - 5
Follow the road along Loch Lomond through the Argyll Forest Park and down the side of Loch Goil until you arrive at secluded Ardnahein Farmhouse, just half a mile south of Carrick Castle in the Western Highlands.
Ardnahein sits on a headland at the entrance to Loch Goil, a magnificent viewpoint for the loch itself as well as for Loch Long and the mountains beyond. The farmhouse is just 200 yards from a pebbly beach at the end of its own private car-track. The owners (who live in one half of the house) are very friendly and proud of their house which has been divided into two completely independent halves – the cottage for visitors at the side and front of the farmhouse, and the remaining part for themselves.
You will have fond memories of this immaculately maintained and comfortable house. There are excellent facilities all around you for a variety of sports: sailing, hill-walking, bird-watching, pony-trekking, golf, mountain-biking, bowling and a swimming-pool.
Heating is by electricity, with open fire for cool Spring/Autumn evenings. Bed-linen and towels, and an extra Z-bed can be hired. Beds have electric-blankets. We regret no pets.
